Steal My Style: Strolling Around Amsterdam

Out of all the cities I visited while studying abroad, Amsterdam definitely holds a special place in my heart. This is because it was the very first foreign ground I stepped foot in and also the last before returning home to Minnesota. From its charming, bicycle filled streets to the Heineken beer and infamous nightlife, Amsterdam is truly one of a kind. If you ever get the chance to stroll around its beautiful, artistic canals I 110% recommend taking advantage! You won’t regret it.

The first time I landed in Amsterdam was for a layover to Florence, so unfortunately I did not have enough time to do much more than admire the Heineken beer in the airport. The second time I was there, however, my freshman year roomie and I had a whole day to explore around. We decided to jam pack the day with tourist attractions and even make a visit to the well-known avocado restaurant called The Avocado Show! (

SIDE NOTE: Even if you aren't planning on visiting Amsterdam any time soon, I recommend following these guys on Instagram. The dishes they create are INSANE and any fellow avocado addicts like me simply will not be able to resist! 👅

Given we had to jam pack a lot of activities into one day, I wanted to wear an outfit that was comfortable enough to walk around in but still fashion-forward. It was a beautiful sunny, day when I was there so I opted for denim on denim with my favorite sunglasses and surprisingly comfy leather boots. That being said, all my outfit deets will be linked below. Have you ever been to Amsterdam? And if so, what was your favorite thing to do there? I am already counting down the days until I can return. Chat soon hauties! 💋

Outfit Deets:

Denim Jacket:

(My jacket is actually from Goodwill & I distressed it myself! If you enjoy DIY's, I would recommend doing the same because it saves a ton of money 😊 I linked a very similar jacket above though!)

Black Turtleneck:

White Turtleneck Sweater:

(My exact sweater is from Floreiza in Florence, but this one is similar!)

White Capris:

Leather Boots:

(My exact boots are also from Zara, however, are unavailable now! These ones are crazy similar though and would give the same effect.)
